SUMMARY: Land distribution
OVERVIEW: God identifies how the land will be distributed for the priests and for worship. It will be a sacred district.
BIG IDEA: Worship is our opportunity to give back to God, not to serve ourselves.
KEY VERSE: Ezekiel 45:9 (God to Israel)
This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “You have gone far enough, princes of Israel! Give up your violence and oppression and do what is just and right. Stop dispossessing my people, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I have all that you need. I have all that each person needs. But when my people take more than necessary, it creates chaos. Not only does it leave some people without their proper share, but it creates tension and breeds a culture of distrust and disharmony. Stop being selfish and discipline yourself to focus on others. Stop looking at yourself and see the needs of those around you.
When you live a life of worship, you learn the rhythm of receiving and giving. You learn the art of peace and contentment. You learn the discipline of celebration and praise. Set aside a portion of all your earnings to give back to me. Identify times in your day to stop and rest before me. Choose a day to be refilled and refreshed. Everyone will not have the same amounts or things, but everyone will have what they need. Trust me for your daily bread and remember me throughout your day.
