Ezekiel 44:1-31

OVERVIEWGod assigns roles for the priesthood based on their previous faithful (or faithless) service.

BIG IDEAThere is blessing in obedience and discipline in disobedience.

KEY VERSEEzekiel 44:5 (God to Ezekiel)
The Lord said to me, “Son of man, look carefully, listen closely and give attention to everything I tell you concerning all the regulations and instructions regarding the temple of the Lord. Give attention to the entrance to the temple and all the exits of the sanctuary.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I invite you to serve me. Come as you are and let me equip you for ministry. Let me teach you how to serve and why to serve. Let me mold and shape your heart and mind so that you serve me as an act of worship, and not as a religious activity. Too many people focus on themselves and what they can get out of service. I’d rather you focus on yourself than serve me half-heartedly. At least that’s honest. But I know you want more than self gratification.

Be faithful. Show up with the right attitude at the right time. Serve with joy and expectation that I am with you and will do something that impacts another person’s eternity. Say “no” to yourself and “yes” to me and you will view and experience life in a new way. Jesus came so that you would have live an abundant life. Follow me and enjoy all that is to come.

NEXT STEP
Evaluate your reasons for serving. Confess any motives that focus on yourself or on building your reputation amongst others. Ask God to give you a heart and desire to serve that focuses on honoring God.
