KEY VERSEEzekiel 36:26 (God to Israel)
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Despite my provision, you rebelled against me. You found great pleasure in pursuing your passions, seeking whatever you wanted whenever you wanted it. Despite my discipline, you rose up and continued to defend your ideas and ways. You ignored the needs and feelings of others if they conflicted with your own. Your made yourself king. You rebelled against me, focused on yourself, and established your own kingdom. But that never stopped me from loving you or reaching out to you.

When you cried out to me, I gave you a new heart. I put my Spirit in you. Your hard heart has become soft. You have been made new! You will continue to be tested and tempted to go your own way. But learn to follow me and walk with me. Learn a new dance, a new rhythm. It is one that will breathe life into you and those around you. Surrender your will and your ways to me each day, and enjoy life as I intended.

NEXT STEP
Every time you think about or are reminded of your past that you would like to forget, remember who God is and what he has done for you. Focus on his love and forgiveness and thank him for it. Replace your sorrowful past with your joyful hope and forgiveness found in Jesus.
