KEY VERSEEzekiel 31:18 (Ezekiel to Pharaoh)
Which of the trees of Eden can be compared with you in splendor and majesty? Yet you, too, will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the earth below; you will lie among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword. “This is Pharaoh and all his hordes, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I created you and gifted you. My image shines within you and I have equipped you with gifts and abilities to thrive, honor me, and serve others. I want you to succeed and accomplish more than you ever imagined or thought possible. I want others to look to you for inspiration, as someone who leveraged and maximized their talents for good. Take steps of faith and trust me for what’s next.

But remember the source of your life and talents. Don’t ignore me or push me aside. Don’t take the credit for what I am doing. Enjoy blessing and serving others and experiencing great things, but I am invite you to build my kingdom, not your own. Just as I created you to be strong and endure challenges, I can also allow you to fall. Seek me. Serve me. Honor me. Do not let success go to your head or alter your vision or harden your heart. Walk humbly with me and enjoy all I do with you and through you.

NEXT STEP
Think of someone who is proud and arrogant. How do you feel about that person and why? Are you showing hints of pride in any area of your life? Humble yourself before the Lord, or be humbled by him.
