Ezekiel 11

Ezekiel 11:1-25

SUMMARYRenewed

OVERVIEW: God shares his plan to judge the men who were supposed to lead the people but instead planned evil and gave wicked counsel. Ezekiel then shares God’s message that the exiles would again gather together, and he would trade their hard, stubborn hearts with tender, responsive ones. Finally, Ezekiel’s vision ends with the Lord’s glory leaving Jerusalem.

BIG IDEAAlways pray for a miracle because God unites the divided and softens hard hearts.

KEY VERSEEzekiel 11:19–20 (God to Ezekiel)
And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart, so they will obey my decrees and regulations. Then they will truly be my people, and I will be their God.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You do not have to worry if you can trust me. I am faithful. When you take a step of faith and count on me to provide, I will be there. I will be your anchor to support you and your shield to protect you. I will give you the power to stand up and the wisdom and words when you ought to speak up. I will make your heart soft, so you begin to seek me and love those I send to you.

Your obedience matters. I will not make you obey me, however. It is your choice, but I will bless you when you do: I will provide for you when you follow me and trust me. Do not feel like you must solve all of your struggles or have all of the answers. That is my job. Your job is to take the next step of faith. Obey me one step at a time and watch me work.
