Exodus 29

Exodus 29:1-46

SUMMARYDedicated

OVERVIEWThe priests were set apart and anointed to work in the temple.

BIG IDEA: God has set us apart and blessed us to be part of his work in the world.

KEY VERSEExodus 29:45–46 (God to Moses)
Then I will live among the people of Israel and be their God, and they will know that I am the Lord their God. I am the one who brought them out of the land of Egypt so that I could live among them. I am the Lord their God.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You never have to wonder if I will be with you. I am forever with you and will always lead you. Seek me, and you will find me. Call out to me, and I will hear you. Praise me, for I am here. I love your praise, and I enjoy speaking with you. Sometimes I will shout warnings, and other times I will whisper instructions. Mostly, I will nudge you forward. As my Spirit leads you, he will remind you to speak, act, or wait.

The more you take time to listen—even in a busy hallway or on a crowded street—you will learn to hear my voice and recognize my nudge. Just as you can decipher the expression on a friend’s face, the more time you spend with me, the easier it will be to know when I am speaking. I have set you aside today to serve me. Be ready.

NEXT STEP
Whether you stand in line at a store, sit amongst family and friends, or bump into someone on the street, God has chosen you to represent and serve him at that moment. Pay attention to God’s nudge to do so.
