Ephesians 6

Ephesians 6. stand firm

Ephesians 6:1-24

SUMMARYStand firm

OVERVIEWOur struggle is not against flesh and blood. It is against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

BIG IDEAPut on God’s armor to resist the devil.

KEY VERSEEphesians 6:10 (Paul reminds Ephesians of their real power source)
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
When you’re angry—whether at work, home, school, or wherever you are—don’t direct your anger at the one standing before you. Your boss or neighbor may be saying or doing things that anger you, but your true enemy—the devil—is using them to frustrate you. Your battle goes beyond flesh and blood and into the spiritual realm. So fight the correct enemy with the proper tools.

This is one of many reasons I want you to spend time with me and my word. I have much to say. I want to encourage you and remind you that I am with you always. I want the truths of my word to permeate your mind so that when tempted to go your way, you recall a Bible story or truth I taught you. I want your spiritual reflexes to respond in prayer. Call out to me to give you the strength to provide all you need to battle the enemy. Let me fight on your behalf while you stand firm for what is right.

NEXT STEP
Train yourself for spiritual battle. Team with a friend and establish short term goals (this week) and longer-term goals (next few months?) that will help you know God’s word.
