BIG IDEARemember all God has done: his blessing, his discipline, and his guidance.

KEY VERSEDeuteronomy 8:2 (Moses to Israel)
Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey his commands.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I am your provider, and I want you to remember that. When you eat and are satisfied, when you settle in a home, when you prosper at work or in school, praise me for all you have received and all you enjoy. Otherwise, you may grow proud and forget what I have done and currently do. Remember me!

Don’t forget that I am your provider. Not only do I give you what you need, but I do so because I love you. You have access to other foods, but mine is soul food. I’ve designed it for you. It will strengthen your physical body and will grow your heart, mind, and soul. Some food I provide is bitter, but it’s what your body needs. Remember, the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness. Jesus was tempted and became weak and hungry. But he was right where I wanted him, and the spiritual food that I provided sustained him. I want to do that for you. Trust me as I lead you. Follow me, knowing I am your provider.

NEXT STEP
Remember God’s faithfulness so that you will not become proud and forget all God has provided. Ask friends or family over a meal to review what God has done in their lives—or reasons to be thankful if you’re with family or friends who do not believe in God.
