KEY VERSEDeuteronomy 27:9–10 (Moses to Israel)
Then Moses and the Levitical priests addressed all Israel as follows: “O Israel, be quiet and listen! Today you have become the people of the Lord your God. So you must obey the Lord your God by keeping all these commands and decrees that I am giving you today.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
My law and the laws of your land are for your benefit, to help you live peaceably with one another and honor me. One secret to success is obedience. My love and commitment to you are not dependent on your obedience. But your happiness and prosperity are. When you follow me and do what I say, when you obey the laws of the land, when you live faithfully as a family member and friend, you will have peace. You won’t have to look over your shoulder or check your rearview mirror to see if anyone is chasing you. Obedience is a blessing.

Don’t try to live out your faith in isolation. Be part of a church family that will help you grow and do the same for others. Lock arms with others and commit to love and serve one another. Your busy schedules and proud hearts will tempt you to ignore this, confident you can do better independently. I want you to say “no” to your selfish desires and “yes” to living in community with others who know me and love me.

NEXT STEP
Don’t live in isolation. Be engaged in a community of believers who will hold you accountable to be the person God wants you to be. If you already attend a church, sign up or start a small group. Go through the Bottom Line Bible together!
