KEY VERSEDaniel 9:18–19 (Daniel’s prayer)
O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city—the city that bears your name—lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy. O Lord, hear. O Lord, forgive. O Lord, listen and act! For your own sake, do not delay, O my God, for your people and your city bear your name.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I love it when you pray to me. I love it when you are honest and confess your sin. I love it when you surrender fully to me and ask me to give you life, guidance, and victory. Live with that same purpose and dedication. Don’t go your own way until you realize you are lost and then ask for my help. Instead, seek me each day. Look to me for direction in each decision. You won’t become a robot. Instead, you’ll become tuned in to the Holy Spirit and me. Seek me and find me.

I will always give hope. I will always provide a way out. There will be times when life is confusing, and you may even feel lost while reading my word. Look for the hope in what you read and what you hear. I will always seek to inspire and instruct, so before you feel overwhelmed, turn to me. And if you already are, cry out to me and follow me.

NEXT STEP
Don’t be overwhelmed with doubt or despair. Remember that God will prevail. Pray with confidence during good times and during trials, because God hears, God knows, and God will respond.
