Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I know there are many voices competing for your attention and allegiance. They will continue until newer, more attractive ones appear. But my voice will be constant. It will never change, regardless of the circumstances. You can trust me, so set your heart and mind on me and things above. Don’t be distracted by all the world offers. It shines today but rusts tomorrow. Put your hope in me. Follow me with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Let me teach you how to live in ways that are powerful and beautiful. When you say ‘no’ to yourself, your anger, deceit, and lies will have no power. There will be no thrill or reason to use them. They will be useless. And when you say ‘yes’ to me, I will clothe you with kindness, compassion, humility, gentleness, and peace. And that is just the beginning. I don’t give you these things to make you proud but to grow your heart and to build up those around you. I have a new life for you and new ways to live. Surrender to me today, and let me lead you.
