Acts 9. turning point

Acts 9:1-43

SUMMARYTurning point

OVERVIEWSaul’s conversion was a breakthrough for the church. God redeemed the very man who sought to destroy Christianity.

BIG IDEAGod can radically change the person you believe will never follow Jesus.

KEY VERSEActs 9:17 (Saul to be healed)
So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I have equipped you to love people who are not easy to love. Be kind to those who are unkind. Speak in truth and love to those whom you fear. Be patient with those who are complicated. Be consistent with those who are weak and immature. I can do the unexpected in the people who seem most hopeless. When my Spirit leads, go forward in love.

Nothing is impossible with me. No one is impossible for me to reach. Whether it seems like it or not, there is power when people see me in you. You are making more of an impact than you realize. There is something different about you, and people around you recognize it. I have plans for you and ideas for those around you. Don’t give in to the temptation to be overwhelmed; rely on me to love through you. Turn to me. Call on me and surrender to me and my plan. I am listening; I am at work; I will guide you. Follow me.

NEXT STEP
Think of the person in your life who seems the most far away from God, someone who looks like they would never welcome Jesus into their life. Take time to pray for this person. Let God know that you are ready to be used when and where he may call upon you. If appropriate, reach out to say hello this week. Trust that nothing, and no one, is impossible with God.
