Acts 26

Acts 26. Priorities

Acts 26:1-32

SUMMARYPriorities

OVERVIEWInstead of focusing on his defense, Paul took the opportunity to share his faith story, giving others the chance to put their faith in Christ.

BIG IDEAAlways be prepared to give a reason for your hope in Jesus.

KEY VERSEActs 26:29 (Paul to Agrippa)
Paul replied, “Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that both you and everyone here in this audience might become the same as I am, except for these chains.”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Keep things in perspective. Remember your actual purpose. Use every circumstance, painful or pleasant, to share what I am doing in your life. If you are confused or hurt, exhausted or angry, be honest. If you are grateful and excited, humbled or awed, look for opportunities to express how you feel. Whatever you’re going through, remember my presence in your life. Remember why I created you. Trust that I am using you to reach others.

You have many goals, dreams, and aspirations. I know them because I know you. But the only accomplishments that genuinely matter, that will last beyond your brief life on earth, are those with an eternal impact. Your material wealth is temporary. Your physical beauty is subjective. Your freedom is not guaranteed. Your career will one day be over. Souls, however, live on. Leverage your relationships and opportunities to tell people about the hope and freedom that waits in Jesus. Let people know I love them and want a relationship with them.

NEXT STEP
Think about a difficulty you or someone you know is facing. Can you identify any specific ways that God has provided during this hardship? If so, give God thanks and look for opportunities to share today.
