SUMMARYRescued

BIG IDEATrust God when he provides, and even when he doesn’t, for he is trustworthy and kind.

KEY VERSE: Acts 12:5 (Peter in prison)
But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I listen when you come to me. Still, as you follow, difficult, desperate situations will arise. Don’t run from them. Instead, bring them to me and pray with passion. Rally others and pray earnestly together. Prayer has an impact, and it makes a difference. Do it wherever you are and at any time of day. Pray often, pray alone, and pray with others. Pray with confidence, and trust me to respond.

It’s OK to have doubts and fear: it’s quite human. I’m not surprised by your feelings of inadequacy, but let any concerns prompt you to turn to me. Let them remind you that I am Lord of all and can do all things. I am capable of miracles and capable of sustaining you when there are no miracles. Pray with boldness. I will do as I see fit, but bring everything to me. You may be human, filled with anxiety and confusion, but you’re also my child. I am in control. I will never leave you.

NEXT STEP
Spend an extra amount of time prayer today. Clear your mind. Calm your body. Talk with God. Bring your fears, concerns, and impossible situations. Pray for others in difficult circumstances. Pray about chaotic world events. Pray for world leaders, your superiors, and Christian leaders. Pray for family, friends, and co-workers. Pray.
