SUMMARY: Spiritually blind
OVERVIEW: God revealed himself to wicked King Ahab two times. God showed his power and authority, yet Ahab refused to believe him. Instead, Ahab tried to establish peace through a treaty with the enemy.
BIG IDEA: God will guide and provide, and he wants us to listen and obey.
KEY VERSE: 1 Kings 20:13 (prophet to Ahab)
Then a certain prophet came to see King Ahab of Israel and told him, “This is what the Lord says: Do you see all these enemy forces? Today I will hand them all over to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Put your faith and trust in me alone. You have all the evidence you need that I am with you and will provide for you. Stop doubting me and place your faith in me instead of yourself. Don’t trust only in what is visible. I am invisible, but my work is bold and beautiful and surrounds you. Don’t be blind. Open your eyes and soften your heart, and you will see and experience my love.
Just as I gave Ahab victory, I will do the same for you. But don’t enjoy the celebration yet ignore the reason for the party. Worship me and give me thanks. Don’t get so comfortable that you think you are invincible. Stay alert—the enemy seeks to kill and destroy. He will not give up on you, but neither will I. When you surrender to me and follow my lead, I will show you the way to go. And I will protect you from harm.

Confess the pride in your life. Ask God to search your heart for any hidden sins, and thank him for his presence. Recommit your life to live entirely devoted to God. Ask God to give you ears to hear him and eyes to see where he is at work in and around you.
