SUMMARYWelcome

OVERVIEWWelcome and support those who love Christ and teach his word. Don’t let the bad example of others prevent you from doing good.

BIG IDEASupport local and global ministry and encourage all who minister.

KEY VERSE3 John 1:11 (John’s reminder)
Dear friend, don’t let this bad example influence you. Follow only what is good. Remember that those who do good prove that they are God’s children, and those who do evil prove that they do not know God.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
A healthy church family is a strong church body. Live in such a way that others know you love me and be the type of church that people in the community talk about and praise. Support and encourage those who minister locally, nationally, and overseas. Find ways to support them through encouragement, finances, materials, and your presence. I want each Christian minister to feel like family wherever they go. Open the door in your church and home and give them a place to rest and receive.

Some have become cold and hardhearted towards other ministers. They refuse to welcome them because false teachers previously burned them. Be wise. Have street smarts. But don’t close the door on those who legitimately love me and serve me. Pray for wisdom, look for fruit, and then welcome with open arms. Keep your heart soft towards all I am doing, and let me bring any necessary judgment on false teachers. Pray for and encourage a ministry leader today.

NEXT STEP
Set aside 1-2 days this month where you can host a ministry worker (paid or volunteer) for a meal (or take them out for coffee) to thank them for their hard work and to pray for them.
