BIG IDEAGod is with you—you can do it.

KEY VERSE1 Timothy 1:18-19 (Paul’s charge to Timothy)
Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you, based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lord’s battles. Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
You have a responsibility as my child to make disciples. Help others know me and help them grow in their relationship with me. Some people have distorted views of me or believe false teachings about me. Come alongside them as a friend, not a judge. Lovingly show them from the Bible what is correct. If they are teachable, they will want to learn more. If not, pray for them but be kind and respectful. Do not look down on them or ignore them.

Some will falsely think they could never have a relationship with me because they are embarrassed or ashamed of their past. Remind them it is not true. Share the Apostle Paul’s story and how he described himself in this chapter. Tell them your story and how I’ve forgiven your past. Let them know I love them and am eager for them to turn to me. My arms are wide open.

NEXT STEP
Remember God’s calling on your life. He called you to love him and live for him. Is there an area of your life you struggle to do that? Ask God for the strength and courage to confront it. Ask a friend for prayer and support.
