KEY VERSEDeuteronomy 17:19–20a (the power of God’s word)
It [the law] is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the Lord his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees and not consider himself better than his fellow Israelites and turn from the law to the right or to the left.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Set an example for all of what it means to follow me. No one is better than another. No one is so privileged that you can ignore the law or delegate someone to obey on your behalf. You may have more responsibility than another, but that does not give you the right to ignore the law or any of my instructions. Instead, it should inspire you to do the right thing and to follow me wholeheartedly.

I want you to seek me and hear from me. I want you to be so familiar with my word that you can bring it to mind from memory. I want songs or phrases in the news or a movie to trigger truths from my word. Slow down to read what I have to say. Take time to think about it. Meditate on it. Let it wash over you. Review it in your mind and share it with others. It is good news for your soul and for all the world.
