KEY VERSE2 Timothy 3:16-17 (Paul to Timothy)
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Do not be surprised by the evil in the world. Don’t get worked up by the news or the daily tweets or headlines. Let them remind you that I am all you need, and I am what the world longs for. An increase in evil is the natural expression of sin in the world. When unchecked, it instills fear and builds walls. It shouts, it shames, and it spreads rumors and lies. Even my followers can get caught up in its allure. Don’t let it happen to you.

I want you to persevere—press on—and continue in the way I’ve trained you. And don’t stop learning. Don’t lean on the past without adding new fuel to your fire. My word will be a light for you. Follow it. Take delight in what I say. Think about it. Review it in your mind, and put it into practice. You will face trials and challenges, so don’t think you’ll be exempt. But I will be with you and give you what you need. Focus on what is true and follow me. I will guide you. Listen and obey.

NEXT STEP
Take time today (and each day) to stop and reflect on what God is saying through the Bible. Choose at least two times (preferably five or more) to stop what you’re doing and think about something you heard God say from the Bible.
