KEY VERSE2 Thessalonians 2:15 (Paul’s reminder)
With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Keep spending time with me, like you are now. Think about my word throughout the day. Review my instructions until your soul absorbs them. Don’t merely parrot them back. Work them out in your life. I want my teachings to impact your day. I want my truth to illuminate your night. When others are anxious and fear the worst, remember that I am with you forever, and I never change. My word never changes or fails.

There will always be new ideas and beliefs about what’s to come. Many will teach eloquently, and some will display power and miraculous signs. I have used miracles in the past, and I am still a God of miracles. But not all miracles are from me. Satan will use signs and wonders to distract you and others. He wants to hypnotize you by his display of power, but test the signs you see. Evidence of my work will be consistent with my teachings, not merely draw a crowd. Stand firm in your faith and evaluate everything according to my word.

NEXT STEP
Evaluate everything you learn against what the Bible teaches. If your “spiritual alarm” sounds, discuss with a friend or two and seek resolution in the Bible. Don’t be deceived by smooth talk or miracles. Measure everything against God’s biblical teaching.
