IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Details matter. I want you to obey all that I say, not most of it or just those parts that make sense to you. Don’t just follow my instructions you think are important and relevant. Listen and obey. I know many tell you my ways are old-fashioned and out-of-touch with the modern world. Nothing could be further from the truth. I know precisely what you need today. Truth is timeless, and I am trustworthy. Put your faith in me—the one who created you and cares for you—than in the latest trends and discoveries.

Instead, discover me and my love and my wisdom. Follow all of my instructions so that it will go well with you. Obey me with enthusiasm, for there are blessings in obedience. Think about that. Not only do I want to guide you and provide for you, but I want to bless you. Stop trying to get ahead by doing things on the side that are inappropriate. Be all-in on doing life my way. Trust me, and let me lead you.

NEXT STEP
Pause to evaluate your life. Take 2-3 minutes (or more) of silence, asking God to search your heart. Are there any corners you have been cutting to get ahead? Anything you are doing that is only a “little inappropriate”? Ask God to reveal anything and make necessary changes, if needed.
