KEY VERSE2 Samuel 11:27 (David takes Bathsheba as his wife)
When the period of mourning was over, David sent for her and brought her to the palace, and she became one of his wives. Then she gave birth to a son. But the Lord was displeased with what David had done.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Do not hide from your sin. When you hide, you may deceive some, but you’re only fooling yourself because I know all. Confess your sin to me and repent. Turn away from your foolish decision and walk in the direction I lead. I have plans for you, but you must follow me. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to seek and obey me with all your heart? Let’s find out.

Beware of temptation. You know it’s real and that it’s powerful. It’s seductive, and you can follow the trail of tears of families who have been devastated by those who explored all temptation had to offer. Don’t play with temptation or become so familiar with it that you know what it smells like and how it moves. Run from it! It’s a trap, and it is waiting for you. Don’t be distracted in life. Focus on what you’re supposed to do and begin by following me.

NEXT STEP
Do you know why you should run from temptation? Think of a tempting situation you often find yourself in and make a list of 5-10 (or more) of the consequences you will face if you give in to that temptation.
