IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Everyone faces death. Honor those who die before you, regardless of your relationship with them. Take time to grieve. Reflect on their lives and acknowledge some of the positive things they did or said. Express sorrow and lament with their friends and loved ones. Be quick to listen and slow to speak. Be ready to hug and available to those who lost a family member or friend. Pray for them. Ask me to provide for them, and follow up in the weeks that follow to continue to encourage family and friends.

Let death remind you of life. Use it to evaluate what you are doing and how you are living. Let it catalyze a passion for mending relationships or pursuing goals. Let it ignite a desire to drop everything and be still before me. Give me a chance to speak into your life. Your goals may be impressive, but they may not be the ones I have for you. Learn to listen and to be still. I am with you always. Let me guide you for the rest of your life.

NEXT STEP
Buy a pack of blank cards and stamps so you always have some available. Remember those who grieve. Don’t think of them only in the moment of their loss, but also on the anniversary of their loved one’s death and during the holidays.
