IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Relationships bring life and cause tension. They provide reasons to laugh and dance, as well as to cry. Each day you will have opportunities to breathe life into people as well as to hurt them. It’s your choice, and it carries power. Choose to forgive and to comfort. Put your energy towards renewal, encouraging the one who offended you to take steps of faith towards hope and healing. You may not think the person deserves forgiveness, but if he or she is authentic in their confession, open your heart and arms towards them.
When you do this, you foil Satan’s attempt to divide. He knows the power of unity is overwhelming. When my followers love one another, the enemy has no control or leverage. When Jesus is victorious amongst you, there is a powerful aroma of hope and love that will attract some and repel others. Be that fragrance of hope. Let others know you by your deeds and be attracted to your smell of hope, love, and forgiveness.
Instead of checking your breath, check your Jesus smell. Pause and ask God to search your heart and attitude for any areas that need adjusting. Pray for renewed vision to see people as Jesus sees them. Be stinky today. May people smell Jesus on you.
