SUMMARYFinal exam

OVERVIEWPaul shares final words with two groups in Corinth: the feisty and the faithful.

BIG IDEALive by the power of God with humility and grace.

KEY VERSE2 Corinthians 13:5 (Paul to the Corinthians)
Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Be humble and treat others with grace. Be teachable. Listen to my Spirit as he reveals areas in which I want to encourage you or teach you. I have so much I want to do in your life, but I won’t if you are not open. If you choose to ignore me and others who love you, you will operate in your strength. But I am hopeful you invite me to lead you and my Spirit to control you. You will not be disappointed.

Remember, as I am at work in your life, I am at work in the lives of others. Don’t be critical or judgmental, but come alongside them. Pray for them and encourage them. Live in community with others—fellowship with them. Live by my grace and in my love. Then you will experience biblical community—a place to learn, love, and live for me. Don’t be afraid to take a step of faith today. You have support, and you are not alone.

NEXT STEP
Ask God to search your heart and sit in quiet reflection for several minutes. Continue to listen to God throughout the day. As God reveals the good and the bad, celebrate your victories and confess your defeats.
