KEY VERSE2 Chronicles 17:6 (Describing Jehoshaphat)
He was deeply committed to the ways of the Lord. He removed the pagan shrines and Asherah poles from Judah.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
My word teaches that those who obey me are blessed, and those who don’t are disciplined. Psalm 1 illustrates this, contrasting the blessed from the wicked. I blessed Jehoshaphat because he said “no” to the cultural temptation of his day. He worshipped me and disregarded Baal; he sought me and obeyed me. Jehoshaphat’s commitment led him to send out officials and Levites to teach the people of Judah my law.

Develop a similar resume. I want people to think of you when asked to describe a godly person. May your words be inspiring and uplifting. Serve others with joy and humility. Love my word and share it with others. You don’t have to know all the answers or how to explain every verse. No one seeks a “know-it-all.” But be excited about what you’re reading in my Bible, and share it with enthusiasm and conviction. Seek me and follow me, and I will bless you.

NEXT STEP
Demonstrate your faith by how you live. Would those who know you be surprised to find out you believe in Jesus, or would your words and actions confirm the claim? What is one thing you can do today that reveals your faith?
