King Asa even deposed his grandmother Maacah from her position as queen mother because she had made an obscene Asherah pole. He cut down her obscene pole, broke it up, and burned it in the Kidron Valley.
IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I know you are live in challenging times globally, nationally, locally, and in your relationships and spheres of influence. Temptations abound to find quick relief or shortcuts to accomplish what you want while only partially ignoring me. Don’t do it! It’s a slippery slope. You’ll convince yourself you’ll only do it this one time, yet when you face a future temptation, you’ll find a creative way to disregard my instructions.
Be strong and courageous. Do the right thing—every time. I will be with you as long as you want me to be. Whenever you seek me, you will find me. But if you turn from me—if you continue to ignore me and my ways—I will release you. I’ll return whenever you want, but don’t allow it to go that far. Find purpose, peace, joy, and fulfillment through obedience. My way gives life. Enjoy it. Show others the blessing that comes from obeying me, and hold those accountable who continue to live for themselves.
