KEY VERSE1 Peter 5:6-7 (Peter’s instructions to all)
So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Humble yourself, and follow me. Humility is not a one-time decision. It’s a choice you must make multiple times each day. Whether you formally or informally lead in the church, you have a responsibility to lead. Do it with care and lead by example. Don’t demand that people follow you. Instead, love others and lead in the way they are to think, speak, and act. When you lead with humility and love, you will have authority.

And humble yourself before me. I am Lord of all. I have all power and all knowledge. Why are you attempting to do more than you should? Stop trying to do my job, and give your worries to me. Give me your fears, too. And do not be intimidated or overwhelmed by the enemy. He is real, but so am I. I want you to flee temptation, but I want you to stand firm against the enemy. Be strong in your faith—in me—not in your strength. I will empower you and protect you. I will lead you through any trial.

NEXT STEP
What do you regularly worry about? Stop thinking about it and start praying about it (or keep praying about it). Turn your worry into worship. Every time you think of the issue, let that remind you to pray and to acknowledge God’s power and to allow God to be in control of the situation.
