KEY VERSE1 Kings 21:19 (Elijah to Ahab)
Give him this message: “This is what the Lord says: Wasn’t it enough that you killed Naboth? Must you rob him, too? Because you have done this, dogs will lick your blood at the very place where they licked the blood of Naboth!”

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
The world revolves around me, not you. You will not always get what you want. Pursue things and ask for them, but if you are unable to acquire them, be content. It is the proud and arrogant who insist on their demands. Don’t be like them. Learn to live in peace and enjoy what I provide. I’ve promised to provide what you need. Find joy in that truth. Let it motivate you to be a voice of hope to others who worry or fear they won’t have enough.

Be a truth-teller in your relationships. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Do not try to deceive or coerce others to do what you want or get what you want. Build healthy relationships and work through proper channels to get things done. You may never get the answer you want to hear, so learn to trust me in disappointment, knowing I am with you. And love and serve others, regardless of the outcome.

NEXT STEP
Make a list of all the things you have not acquired or achieved that you have wanted thus far in life. Thank God that you haven’t received them, knowing that means it wasn’t the right time for you or wasn’t appropriate for you at all. Thank God for being a good, good father, and that you will continue to trust him with his answers in the future.
