BIG IDEARun from temptation, but don’t leave a trail for it to find you.

KEY VERSE1 Corinthians 10:13 (Paul to the Corinthians)
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
I know what you’re experiencing. I know your trigger points—what sets you off. I know what you think about always and what you crave at certain times of the day or night. I know it all, so take comfort in that. You are not alone and never will be. Learn from your mistakes and those around you. Your past doesn’t have to be a series of unwise choices. Let it be a degree in the school of hard knocks. Be a learner and respond wisely.

But it’s not just about you and your effort. Look to me for help. I am faithful. You will never face a unique temptation. Nothing surprises me, and I will help you escape whatever you face. There is always a way out—always an emergency exit. Have a plan and use it when needed. I will show you the way, but you must follow me.

NEXT STEP
In what areas are you currently being tempted? Do you have an exit strategy? Is there a different route you need to take to work or the office water fountain? A channel or website to avoid? Is there a friend who can text you tough questions or not let you be in specific environments alone? Be proactive. Have a plan, so you are equipped.
