SUMMARYOne vision

OVERVIEWMilitary and community leaders are identified, revealing a united vision as Israel lays a foundation for building the Temple. Everyone gets involved because everyone is valuable.

BIG IDEAEveryone is valuable.

KEY VERSE1 Corinthians 12:27 (Paul reminds us everyone has a role)
All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.

IF GOD WROTE YOU A LETTER
Everyone has opportunities to lead, but I have given some leadership gifts and called them to guide on a larger scale. The leader is not more important or valuable—everyone plays a role in a group’s success. A leader cannot lead if others do not fulfill their purposes or support and follow the leader. I want you to serve actively and faithfully in your current role. Encourage those around you to do the same and, if you are the leader, set an example by serving with joy, humility, and excellence.

Ultimately, I am the leader. Follow me, and I will take you places and show you things you never thought possible. Those who beat their chests and demand that others follow them will have difficulty seeing or hearing me. Don’t be like that. Start each day with a prayer to be obedient to all I’ve called you to. Continue your day by seeking me and waiting for my instructions. And conclude your day with thanks and a new commitment to follow me the following day.

NEXT STEP
Renew your vision for and commitment to the local church by encouraging your pastor and ministry leader on the team you serve. If you’re not on a ministry team at church, begin this week. And invite someone not helping to join your team.
