SUMMARYPriests identified

OVERVIEWGod identifies Aaron and his descendants to serve as priests for the Temple and establishes a pattern of orderly and continual worship.

BIG IDEAYou are God’s priest. Serve and praise God always!

KEY VERSE1 Corinthians 14:40 (Instructions from the Apostle Paul)
But be sure that everything is done properly and in order.

You and each person you know who follows me, whether Jew or Gentile, is part of my family. I have adopted the Gentiles, but all have authority and rights and privileges as my children. You are mine, and I love you. I have authorized you to serve me as a priest. As Peter wrote in 1 Peter 2:9, you are a royal priest, and you can show others that I am good and how I provide.

Just as Aaron’s descendants were identified as priests and divided into groups for service, so I have called the church to worship me properly and in order. The church is unique. It’s a gathering of diverse people through their ethnicity, gifting, economics, philosophy, intellect, and even allergies. Worship me as one. Rejoice when you hear a song at church that you don’t care for because it fuels another’s fire. Give thanks to all who serve upfront or behind the scenes. Worship me joyfully, showing love and mercy to all you see.

Identify someone at work or school and someone from your church that others often ignore and strive to encourage them 2-3 times this week.
